CEL continues to improve its power generation plants for better service

The Comsión Ejecutiva Hidroeléctrica del Río Lempa (CEL), explained through its social networks that they continue renewing its generation plants, the institution is executing major maintenance of unit number 7, in the Central Hidroeléctrica 5 de Noviembre, located between the departments of Chalatenango and Cabañas.

The works consist of: Turbine inspections, electrical and hydrostatic tests in the water-oil exchangers, cleaning and preventive and corrective maintenance to the generating unit, revision of the motor systems.

In addition, they are taking advantage of the summer to optimize our hydroelectric power plants and guarantee energy demand during the rainy season.

Currently, the generation unit supplies electricity to more than 2 million users nationwide.
