The Commission seeks to enable the inhabitants of this community to generate their own income by planting and harvesting vegetables, thus improving their quality of life.
The "Casas Malla" will allow the families to produce 1.5 tons of chili peppers and other vegetables such as scallions, carrots, radishes and aromatic herbs in the first harvest.
Previously, the CEL team trained them to plant, produce and market the vegetables.
The "Casas Malla" have a drip and spray irrigation system, a form of production that does not require the use of agrochemicals.
In addition, CEL's goal is for people to obtain healthy, organic vegetables for sale and consumption, making families more productive and self-sufficient.
