This treaty was agreed since 2012, but today it seeks to be able to execute public purchases to bid products with Mexico. Thus, it will be possible to increase the export rate, ensure the purchase of goods and services and promote medium and small businesses.
According to Foreign Ministry reports, among the products to be exported to the North American nation are serums, since in 2022 El Salvador exported to Mexico around US$1.5 million to private establishments, while worldwide more than US$15 million is exported.
This will open doors for salvadoran companies to participate in public procurement in Mexico, thus boosting their exports to new markets and boosting El Salvador's economy.
