Deputies approved special law to allocate funds to the FSV

Written by Karla Gutiérrez

The Legislation and Constitutional Points Committee ruled in favor of creating a special law that authorizes the Fondo Social para la Vivienda (FSV), to give on gratuitous loan real estate located in the Urbanization La Campanera in the municipality of Soyapango.

With the initiative, seven lots will be given to the Mayor's Office of Soyapango, for a term of ninety-nine years, renewable, counted as of the date of signature of the gratuitous bailment contract, with the purpose of developing reconstruction works of the community house of Reparto La Campanera, which is built in said properties. The value of the seven lots amounts to US$24 thousand.

The transfer of the lots is regulated by Article 233 of the Constitution of the Republic, which establishes that real estate assets of the Public Treasury and those of public use may only be donated or given in usufruct, bailment, or lease, with the authorization of the Legislative Body in favor of entities of general utility.
