Fuel prices rise up to US$0.28 per gallon

The Dirección General de Energía, Hidrocarburos y Minas (DGEHM), announced through its Twitter account the new reference prices of fuels that will be in effect from august 8 to 21, 2023.

If you are going to fill the tank of your vehicle it is recommended that you do it today, due to the fact that this input will present an increase between US$0.28 and US$0.24 in the prices of regular gasoline, super and diesel, due to multiple factors that will make the population disburse a little more cash for the purchase of this input.

Salvadorans who buy a gallon of super gasoline in the central zone, the price will be an average of US$4.77, regular gasoline US$4.48 and diesel US$4.04.

Likewise, for people who use super fuel in the western zone, the cost per gallon will be US$4.78, regular fuel US$4.49 and diesel US$4.05.

For the transporters who travel in the eastern zone, the price of the super fuel will be US$4.81, the regular at US$4.53 and the diesel at US$4.08. The external factors that continue to influence in the variation of fuels is that Saudi Arabia informed that it will extend its cut of 1 million barrels per day until september, generating increases in the international prices of hydrocarbons.

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) maintains its plan to reduce production in order to maintain increases in the prices of oil and its derivatives.
