The minister of Housing (FONAVIPO), Michelle Sol, verified the housing relocation process of families in the community of El Bambú, in San Salvador.

As part of the projects carried out by this ministry, the ‘’Programa de Reasentamiento’’provided housing solutions to families who for years were in danger of death by a slope and adjacent to the La Bermeja cemetery, that is why the delivery of adequate and safe housing for these families was made.

We are moving two more families, we are moving at their pace, our teams are accompanying them throughout the process to find an adequate house, with basic services and zero vulnerability", said minister Michelle Sol.

The official said that the Hernandez Martinez family had been waiting 10 years for a solution, in each winter they will be moved to shelters or a temporary shelter without receiving a permanent response.

"Before we lived with the fear that the children would go to the river when playing, it was dangerous, we knocked on doors and they did not listen to us. Now it is a great blessing to have our house, I feel happy", said beneficiary Jasmín López.
