As part of 100 years of good stories to tell, Corporación Multi Inversiones (CMI) celebrates 85 years of milling history, which started the industrial activities of the corporation.

These operations of the CMI Alimentos group are focused on the development of the wheat, corn and animal feed value chain.

With recognized operations such as Molinos Modernos, Fhacasa and Harisa, this business unit of CMI Alimentos has more than 2,600 employees throughout the region and a varied portfolio of strong, semi-soft and soft flours and industrial premixes. There are 60 brands, among which the following stand out.

In addition, as part of its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), CMI Alimentos has made significant efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout its value chain. These include the installation of solar panels in different production plants, carbon neutral certifications and recognition for the use of renewable energy.

It all began in 1936, when a visionary Don Juan Bautista Gutiérrez, yearning for a better future for his family and community, founded the Corporation's first mill in Guatemala. With hard work and vision, CMI Alimentos today has flour mills and animal feed processing plants in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and Mexico.

"This leadership is thanks to the teamwork, constant effort and dedication of each of our collaborators. We believe in this region and we are committed to feeding the world to fill it with well-being", said José Gregorio Baquero, CEO of CMI Alimentos.

Virgen de Covadonga, El Sol, Espiga, Flora, Fhacasa, Bollo Fino, Panadero, Del Comal and Premezclas. In animal feed, products made by Aliansa are marketed, such as VitaLechero, Aliengorde, and Sangre Real and Fontana. With the intention of promoting entrepreneurship and job creation, CMI Alimentos has supported more than 60 thousand entrepreneurs in the countries where it operates, providing tools and knowledge for the development of businesses related to wheat and corn flours, through programs of the Development and Training Center.

"Today we celebrate these first 85 years evolving, undertaking new projects and businesses, working hard and never giving up with our employees, customers and partners. We are excited to continue providing solutions to our customers that allow us to learn and grow together", concluded Daniel Maldonado, CEO of Harinas.
