McDonald's celebrated World Down Syndrome Day to its valuable team of employees with different abilities, who every day play an important role in the different restaurants of the brand.

As part of its platform "Small Actions Big Changes", McDonald's works under the pillar of "Employment and Inclusion" providing job opportunities to these people, for whom it creates a space for their development, but also contributes to change their lives and those of their families.

It should be noted that for over 30 years, McDonald's has been promoting its "Work Integration Program for People with Different Abilities", which currently consists of 16 people and whose objective is to provide job opportunities to young people with different abilities such as Down Syndrome, hearing impairment, polio, speech problems, mild intellectual disability, Williams Syndrome, learning disabilities, Asperger's Syndrome, muscular dystrophy and borderline intellectual disability, among others.

For McDonald's it is important inclusion and being able to offer a decent job to people who have an incredible human quality, positive attitude, desire to excel and work. These characteristics undoubtedly define the employees who are part of the program.

In this special month, in which Down Syndrome Day is celebrated, McDonald's celebrated it with great enthusiasm, recognizing the commitment to the company by the valuable team of employees with this condition”, said Gloria Ramirez, Human Capital Manager of McDonald's El Salvador.

The celebration held by McDonald's to its employees took place on march 20 in one of the restaurants of the brand, where the 16 employees and their families shared a morning full of joy and surprises.

As part of their support for this day, all McDonald's employees used during March bracelets with the colors that represent the cause: green symbolizing hope for opportunities, red which means love for people and yellow which identifies with this syndrome.
