The McDía Feliz  kicked off at McDonald's Los Proceres with the sale of the first Big Mac which was made by Esteban Alvarado, Regional Operations manager of McDonald's El Salvador and Silvia Olivares, Marketing manager of McDonald's El Salvador, accompanied by children benefited by the Cardiac Catheterization Surgery Day of Sana Mi Corazón and Monica Campos, representative of PedidosYa, who joined the cause. 

McDía Feliz has become an essential support for the Permanent Catheterization Program of Sana Mi Corazón, since thanks to the donations of medical supplies that are used to perform these interventions, it has helped save more than 2,000 children in the country.

"We are very excited to celebrate another year of McDía Feliz because every Big Mac will turn into smiles for children and their families. We thank salvadorans for joining this noble cause because, thanks to their collaboration, we will help improve the quality of life of many children with heart problems", said Esteban Alvarado, Regional Operations manager of McDonald's El Salvador.

In addition to buying their Big Mac on this date, customers can also support this cause by purchasing Big Mac and McMenu Big Mac vouchers at all McDonald's restaurants.  The purpose of the vouchers is that people who wish to buy more Big Macs on this day, can also collaborate and thus help more children. These vouchers can be redeemed from october 12 to december 31, 2023.
