This event was held in Long Island, New York, in the United States, where there is a large community of compatriots with high interest in learning more destinations and travel experiences offered in the nation.
The vice minister of Diaspora and Human Mobility, Cindy Mariella Portal, said that "this initiative will benefit salvadorans abroad who want to visit their country and take advantage of discounts in hotels, restaurants, services and tour operators".
ViajeroSV seeks to support tourism locally. Entrepreneurs and other more established businesses provide discounts that compatriots can access upon arrival in the country. To do so, they must enter the platform and register very easily to be part of these benefits.
She said that this strategy brings salvadorans abroad closer to the country and improves the experience in a safe place, with incredible tourist offers with the country's star tourism project, Surf City.
The "ViajeroSV" platform has the participation of more than 68 small and medium-sized companies. To access the offers, compatriots must visit the site.
In addition, as part of this relaunch, a business conference was held with tour operators and hotel owners in El Salvador and travel agencies in New York, where the different beach and mountain destinations were presented.
The purpose of this event was to present the platform Viajero SV and incorporate the destinations offered by El Salvador in the service portfolio of wholesale travel agencies.
