Salvadoran coffee is promoted in Korea

The Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores together with the Instituto Nacional del Café, presented salvadoran coffee at the Global Yeongdo Coffee Festival held in Busan, Korea.

 

 

"We took advantage of this space for the positioning and promotion of our golden bean in the second most important market for salvadoran coffee exports in the Asian region", the Embassy of El Salvador in Korea published in its social networks.

Around 100,000 visitors from 80 countries from all over the world attended the event, where they were able to attend barista events, taste tasting, among other activities. In this event the Memorandum of Understanding between the la Alianza de Mujeres en Café de El Salvador and its counterpart in South Korea was delivered.

"South Korea is one of the largest consumers of coffee, on a global scale, and, currently, is the second destination for our exports in Asia", said the Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores.

The Vice Chancellor of El Salvador also attended the South Korea-Central America Trade and Investment Forum, where the expansion of salvadoran-korean relations was discussed. Topics such as investment, productive projects, strengthening of alliances and trade exchanges were addressed in this forum.

"I had the opportunity to meet with the Prime Minister of South Korea, Han Duck-soo, and he announced that South Korea is planning to increase its cooperation funds by 40%", said the Vice Chancellor in a subsequent interview.
