ANDA users who have fallen into arrears for non-payment of their water service bill may pay only the debt for the service at ANDA's offices.
This represents a financial relief and a real benefit for the population since the decree allows people to request a payment plan of up to 12 months if they do not have the full amount of the debt.
With the first decree approved last july, the law was effective until monday, october 9, however, it was extended until the last day of this year to benefit more salvadorans.
This is a measure that was presented for the second consecutive year by the Government to contribute to the economy of the families.
In the first three months of the decree, more than 14,000 users of the autonomous institution have benefited; this translates into more than U$1.6 million that allow a financial reorganization for the users and the institution.
The money recovered will be invested in new projects that will contribute to improve the potable water service in the country.
ANDA has extended opening hours at some of its agencies to make it easier for the population to visit them.
