For the second year, companies are invited to apply for the Premio Nacional al Trabajo Decente

With the purpose of recognizing compliance with rights, good practices and the generation of positive, favorable and dignified environments for a better performance and well-being of workers, the Ministry of Labor launched for the second consecutive year the call for the Premio Nacional al Trabajo Decente.

Participation in this year's contest is open to all national companies, as well as to those foreign companies that have operations in El Salvador.

For the second consecutive year, companies that comply with international standards of freedom, equality, security and human dignity will be recognized".

The contest is part of the vision of this Central Government institution to achieve decent work for all salvadorans, by those companies that promote good practices, respecting the national and international regulatory framework on labor issues, and promote the generation of decent jobs. In 2021, a total of 35 recognized companies were recognized with this award.

This recognition is an initiative of the minister of Labor, Rolando Castro, to recognize good employers that generate decent working conditions and promote good business practices in compliance with the national regulatory framework.

Decent work synthesizes the aspirations of people during their working life and means the opportunity to access a productive job that generates a fair income, security in the workplace and social protection for the worker's family.
