The Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería (MAG) informs producers about the requirements and delivery locations of these inputs. Each beneficiary will receive product for a maximum of 200 blocks of land.

As part of the actions oriented to fulfill the objectives of the Programa de Transformación y Despegue Sostenible del Café, tomorrow thursday will be the delivery of foliars for producers.

The delivery of quality inputs will help prepare the crops for the rainy and flowering period, which will occur in the coming months.

This distribution has the financial backing of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), with a loan that opposition groups in the Legislative Assembly kept blocked for several months, until the new legislature arrived to facilitate these funds that will help coffee growers.

To withdraw the product, the producer must have his respective valid card of the Consejo Salvadoreño del Café (CSC).. In addition to that, he/she must bring his/her original Documento Único de Identidad (DUI) and a copy. In case you need to delegate this task to another person, you must present a signed note with the authorization. There are 40 authorized sites in the three regions of the country, in the central, paracentral, eastern and western zones.

Among other activities that MAG has prepared to improve productivity and commercialization is the distribution of coffee plants for the renovation of the park, as well as the search for new markets. The issue of financing has been discussed with representatives of the entire agro-industrial chain, in order to achieve a successful solution.

Data from the Consejo Salvadoreño del Café (CSC) indicate that the 2021 - 2022 harvest, which is about to close, already shows a significant increase over the previous period. As of february 28, the harvest measured in quintals registered a total of 834,525, equivalent to an increase of 5.5% over the previous year.

The positive impact that the Government's support has had can also be seen in coffee exports, which have increased 65.2% in income and 14.52% in volume (or quantity of kilograms sold).
