Salvadorans who have not filed their income tax return are on time, since the Ministry of Finance through the Dirección General de Impuestos Internos (DGGI), have extended the deadline until monday, may 2, 2022.

The process is available for individuals and legal entities, in the section of "Online Services of the DGII", where the taxpayer will be able to find the automatic calculation of their income, expenses and withholding taxes that lead them to define their Income Tax (ISR) filing.

With the homologation of the Tax Identity Number (NIT), natural persons will be able to access the platform using the Single Identity Document (DUI), while legal entities and foreigners will continue accessing the online services through their NIT.

It is important to remember that the ISR filing is only through the digital system, which brings important benefits for the taxpayer, in that it reflects accurate information on income and ISR withholding, indicates whether or not the taxpayer is obliged to file a tax return, availability of access 7/24, avoids queues and waiting, since it is not necessary to visit the offices of the Ministry of Finance.

Likewise, you can process the payment in installments up to a maximum of 6 installments or make partial payments, without interest.

The Renta en Línea service has the information submitted by the Withholding Agents, which makes it possible to establish the taxable income subject to withholding that must be declared or included in each tax return and filed online. In order to register in the system, the taxpayer must enter the option "Online Services of the DGII", where the requirements to be met as a declarant will appear.

In the case of taxpayers who do not yet have a password and are going to file for the first time, they can access the options "Online Registration" and "Obtaining a Password".
