The head of the Banco Central de Reserva (BCR), Douglas Rodriguez has informed that economic growth will be in a range of 2.5% to 3.0% in 2024, while for 2023 the projection indicates that the salvadoran economy will grow by 2.7%.

 

 

Other financial institutions have also pointed out the possible growth margins that the country will have in 2024.

The World Bank estimates it will be 2.8%, while the IMF lowered its GDP growth projection for El Salvador by two tenths of a percentage point, from 2.4% to 2.2% for next year.

The president of the BCR, also highlighted that in 2023 investment grew by 5.9% in the country. During the third quarter of this year an investment of US$1,653 million was made, between public and private projects, which added to the first and second quarter of 2023 total US$5,118 million invested in El Salvador.
