Bancoagrícola strengthens the talent of young salvadorans with the first Teller School

Written by Evelyn Alas

Bancoagrícola, with the purpose of promoting sustainable development for the welfare of all, celebrated the first graduation of its Teller School.

This initiative consists of training young candidates through an introductory Bank Teller course, providing them with the knowledge and technical tools necessary to perform the position of Teller, including mastery of operational processes, customer service and sales.

The Teller School arose mainly as a seedbed to fill vacancies for tellers at Bancoagrícola, specifically in the metropolitan area of the country, streamlining recruitment processes, enhancing sustainable development and reaching a greater number of candidates. However, the job opportunities for students after the training process are many.

"Our projections go beyond training young people to fill positions in our bank. This is an opportunity to fulfill our purpose of promoting sustainable development in pursuit of the well-being of all. We are facilitating their growth by improving their skills and enhancing their job competitiveness, so that they can join our work teams or find employment in other nationally recognized companies", said Sonia Hernández, Talent Management, Learning and Development.

The first training of the Bancoagrícola Teller School was implemented in June with the graduation of the first group and will be carried out monthly until december, completing seven generations of graduates in this successful project that will undoubtedly transform the lives of young salvadorans who yearn for a better future for themselves and their families.

"The Teller School is a great opportunity that Bancoagrícola is giving to young people who really need a job. It helps us to have a work experience, not only in issues derived from the function itself, but also in values such as respect, punctuality and presentation with the customer. My goal is to join and make a career in the bank", said Nelson Vásquez, a participant in the program.

Denise Castro, also a beneficiary, said, "We must take advantage of these programs that expand opportunities for productive insertion, especially for young people who do not have much knowledge of the labor market. Personally, the experience of the Bancoagrícola Teller School gave me the knowledge that will make a difference in my professional development".

This space in Bancoagrícola was created in collaboration with strategic allies such as the Asociación Bancaria Salvadoreña (ABANSA), with the objective of approaching salvadoran talent and playing an active role in the training of young people so that they can be integrated into the work teams of member banks, especially in the branches.

As the bank of salvadorans, with the Teller School, Bancoagrícola contributes to the sustainable development of the country, training better citizens and providing technical skills so that young people can be more competitive in the labor market.
