"The country has changed, four years into this administration, we have become the fourth country in the world with the highest growth in tourism, this is not what we say, it is what the World Tourism Organization says; this would not be a reality, without all the support we have had from institutions such as the DGME", said Valdez.

Until august of this year, 2.2 million visitors were registered, data that are a record for El Salvador in terms of international tourism, data that place the country as leader in the Central American region, since these visitors have left $2,400 million in foreign exchange; therefore, the projection is that by december 2023, 2.9 million visitors will be registered, equivalent to $2,900 million in foreign exchange income.
