Written by Karla Gutiérrez

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Embassy of El Salvador in Panama, held a virtual forum for tourism promotion to publicize the destinations, activities and unique travel experiences offered by our country to visitors.

The activity was aimed at tour operators and companies in the field, with a view to generate partnerships and provide inputs to help increase the number of travelers coming to our territory from that Central American nation.

"We want them to know in greater depth our attractions in terms of tourism, so they can promote them in a better way with the Panamanian public", said the diplomatic representative of our country, Diana Vanegas.

He also highlighted that, thanks to the efforts and actions promoted in this area, El Salvador was included by the ONU Turismo agency as one of the four Latin American destinations with the greatest potential for 2024.

He spoke about the interest of working jointly and in a coordinated manner on strategies to strengthen the flow of tourists on both routes.

"We want panamanians to travel and enjoy all the good things that El Salvador offers to the world", said the ambassador.

The event was supported by the Cámara Salvadoreña de Turismo (CASATUR), which was represented on this occasion by its president, Silvia Orozco.
