FONAT has delivered US$1,411,750 to people affected by road accidents in august

The Fondo para la Atención a las Víctimas de Accidentes de Tránsito (FONAT) published on its social networks a report for the month of august on applications received from people who have suffered traffic accidents and have requested economic support from the institution.

At the end of august, FONAT's Board of Directors approved a total of 1,394 requests for economic benefits, with a budget of $1,411,750, which were distributed among injured persons and relatives of the deceased.

A total of US$558,000 was given to 655 people who have been injured or wounded as a result of a road accident. On the side of families who have lost loved ones, US$853,750 was given to 739 salvadorans.

The authorities also provided a balance of what has been accounted for so far this year, resulting in the following data:

- Injured people who benefited from FONAT were 522 in the last 8 months, to whom US$420,300 were given.

- Families affected by the loss of a family member numbered 612 as of the end of august and received a total of US$655,250 to help them meet the needs of their losses.
