Fuel prices will continue to vary in the coming months

Written by Miguel Crespín

The member countries of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) have reduced their crude oil production in recent months and are expected to maintain this cut until october, according to information published by Bloomberg, a company dedicated to economic information.

This will continue to affect international fuel prices, which have seen constant increases affecting the world economy. Another event that may alert countries such as El Salvador, which are susceptible to increases in gasoline costs, is Russia's announcement of a reduction to 300,000 barrels per day for september.

According to international media, this information was given by the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. Until the end of august it was reported that the European country was producing 500,000 barrels per day, which means a reduction of 200,000 barrels and it is not ruled out that these decreases could continue in the remainder of 2023.

Another country that will play an important role is China, which due to its economic contraction could reduce its fuel consumption, which would make crude oil prices at world level remain stable for the time being. However, we must keep an eye on what happens in Saudi Arabia, since this country maintains a production of 1 million barrels of oil per day, but it is expected that it is also planning to reduce that number.
