The MinisterioThe Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería (MAG), develops every wednesday the Women's Agromarket, a space dedicated to the sale of products grown by women.

The MAG recognizes the efforts of each producer, and invites people to visit the Women's Agromarket and consume local products, harvested by salvadoran hands.

On this occasion, the program Cocinando con el Agro Salvadoreño was integrated, where the national chef Roberto Mendoza delighted those present with different recipes prepared with fresh products from the Agromercado.

"The products that I have found here in the Agromercado are of very high quality, they come from San Vicente, Cojutepeque, from the volcano of San Salvador, so I recommend the population to cook with these fresh products", said Chef Roberto Mendoza, who has prepared dishes in the United States, Canada, Mexico, India, South America, among others.

Cocinando con el Agro Salvadoreño debuted with the recipes of Mendoza, a famous international chef with more than 26 years of experience in the kitchen, who has been in charge of major political, sports and social activities. In addition, he has cooked for personalities such as princes, presidents and entertainment stars.

The space was inaugurated by the minister of Agriculture and Livestock, David Martínez, and the minister of Tourism , Morena Valdez, who prior to sampling the dishes prepared by Mendoza, toured the Agromercado to greet the women producers and reaffirmed the Government's commitment to promote the riches produced in El Salvador.

Among the products that the chef chose were: apples, watermelon, bananas, pineapple, raspberries, mango, corn, cashew seeds, almonds, peppers, onions, tomatoes, loroco, green beans, potatoes, pork, cheese, yogurt, honey, lemon. With them she prepared salad, dessert and a pork chop dish.

The Minister of Tourism said that we should be proud of our identity and of national producers. "For Tourism, gastronomy is essentia. We are here precisely because we are working on agrotourism projects that we will soon make known in conjunction with the MAG", she said.

"The invitation is that we consume what is ours, today with the Plan Maestro de Rescate Agropecuario will increase the amount of products that are required and produced in El Salvador. Let's consume local products and visit the Agromercado on Wednesdays and Saturdays", said minister Martinez.
