The recent approval of the VAT exemption on agricultural inputs also includes benefits for small coffee growers, since, in addition to the purchase of improved red bean seed, certified white corn seed, fertilizers, other agricultural inputs and the contracting of logistics for transportation, it also includes coffee seedlings.

All these inputs may be acquired in the local market or through imports.

The legislators of the Legislative Assembly affirmed that with the exoneration of the tax on the purchase of inputs for agricultural packages, they will protect the pockets of salvadorans and guarantee the supply of products of the basic food basket for families.

They also emphasized that with these legal tools they will be able to implement a different program to generate synergy between producers and the Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería, training, promote Good Agricultural Practices, which are essential for the development and care of resources.
