Farmers from Mercedes Umaña, Berlín, Santa Elena, Jucuarán, Jucuapa and Jiquilisco are withdrawing their Agricultural Packages in order to start planting grains; in addition, farmers receive technical assistance to ensure the proper use of inputs and to motivate beneficiaries to apply Buenas Prácticas Agrícolas (BPA).

Farmers in La Libertad withdraw their Agricultural Packages with the conviction that the harvest will be better than in other years, because the agricultural subsidy is more complete and technical assistance from the Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería (MAG), the Centro Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria y Forestal (CENTA)  and the Instituto Salvadoreño de Transformación Agraria (ISTA) is added.

Farmers in Chalatenango, La Libertad and San Salvador are receiving their 2023 Agricultural Packages, which include 25 pounds of certified corn seed, a quintal of 15-15-15 fertilizer, a liter of foliar fertilizer and a seed treater; raw materials that will help increase crop productivity.

The delivery of agricultural packages continues in the west of the country, and thousands of small producers of basic grains are grateful for the support of the Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería which joins efforts with municipalities and other government institutions to increase national production and ensure food security.

The minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Óscar Guardado, announced that as of april 28th, the delivery of agricultural packages to more than half a million small producers of basic grains will begin, in order to support their economies and guarantee the supply of corn, one of the most important foods in the basic food basket.

The Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería (MAG) continues to articulate efforts to ensure an agile and efficient delivery of the Programa de Insumos Agrotecnológicos (PIATEC); in this framework, minister Óscar Guardado signed 39 agreements with mayors of the departments of Ahuachapán, Sonsonate and Santa Ana.

For the second consecutive year, the Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería (MAG), plans to distribute 600,000 agricultural packages of corn and more than 230,000 of beans, fertilizers, granular and foliar, as well as the respective adherent for foliage.

The interim minister of Agriculture, Enrique Parada, informed in a morning interview that the Ministerio de Agricultura (MAG) has a coffee sector whose production is 1 million quintals of coffee, the highest in the last 4 years.

The Legislative Assembly approved with 79 votes in favor the budgetary reinforcement to deliver close to 600 thousand Agricultural Packages through the Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería.
