CAMARASAL La Union branch reactivates gastronomic tourism with the XI Seafood Festival

With the objective of promoting the typical gastronomy of the eastern part of the country and boost tourism in the region, the Cámara de Comercio e Industria de El Salvador, (CAMARASAL) La Union branch, reactivates the Seafood Festival, which had a two-year pause after the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The eleventh edition of the event will take place next sunday, may 15, at the Municipal Pier of La Unión and was announced by the president of the branch, Raúl Castro, at a press conference on may 12.

Castro highlighted the importance of the Seafood Festival, which provides safe recreational spaces for salvadoran families and foreign visitors.

Entrepreneurs seek to promote local cuisine, increase the number of tourists visiting the area, promote businesses and municipalities that have great potential for tourism in the region.

Raúl Castro indicated that the arrival of at least one thousand tourists is expected, who will be able to enjoy a variety of activities included in the Seafood Festival.

The union leader indicated that a variety of activities are expected, such as tasting of typical seafood dishes of the area, presentations of musical groups, dances and peace bands, as well as boat rides and water shows.

The Cámara de Comercio e Industria de El Salvador is the most representative business association in El Salvador, with more than 106 years of promoting and permanently defending the free enterprise system, promoting national unity and business development with social responsibility.
