More than 130 businesswomen graduated from the Componente Activar, which is part of the "WE3A Project: Strengthening Women Entrepreneurs in Productive Chains", implemented by the Cámara de Comercio e Industria de El Salvador (Camarasal) and Voces Vitales in the country. It is a project co-financed by IDB Lab, the innovation and entrepreneurial capital arm of the Inter-American Development Bank Group, and the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi).

WE3A is present in 6 countries in the region, executed regionally by Thunderbird School of Global Management of Arizona State University, which has overseen the creation of all the training material used.  This project has three main pillars (Aspire, Activate and Accelerate), which seek to strengthen small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), whose owners or directors are women, by promoting more opportunities through gender-sensitive investment and providing training to increase their business competitiveness.

This is the third graduation since the project began and each ceremony seeks to celebrate and recognize the achievements of the entrepreneurs who complete the four modules that are part of the component: Dreambuilder, Value Chains, Financing your Dream and Resilience. Each module prepares the participant to develop or strengthen her business plan, and to leave the program strengthened to manage her business ventures and apply for financing or business opportunities.

During the event, the expert consultant Cinddy Fernandez, CEO of Global ESCOM, gave a lecture on "Activating genius through innovation". In addition, attendees were able to learn about success stories with participants of the Activate Component who won the Pitch Competition, a competition in which the five best growth plans presented by entrepreneurs who participated in the component, held in march, were awarded.

This component uses digital tools that facilitate the participation of numerous SMEs led by women in the region and will increase the capacity of local partners, who will be able to continue accessing digital resources after the end of the project.
