The Ministerio de Obras Públicas y Transporte (MOPT) is working in strategic points, as part of the Plan Nacional de Mitigación, to reduce risks and the vulnerability of the communities prior to the rainy season.

The Plan Mitigación El Salvador investment has a budget of US$50 million and has begun with works in different parts of the country, especially in the San Salvador Metropolitan Area.

The Plan Mitigación continues its work in Soyapango where they are intervening in gullies and the main road of the municipality, Boulevard del Ejército, this work will benefit more than 1.5 million drivers who travel daily through the area.

The MOPT is developing the Plan Nacional de Mitigación with the execution of works to reduce vulnerability at different points, including slope stabilization, elimination of gullies, reconstruction of vaults, works for damage to bridges and others.
