ASESUISA, as part of the insurance sector, has the ability to influence various sectors of society, which allows it to go beyond its field, protecting the environment and seeking sustainability that will adequately benefit future generations.

Seeking sustainability means that the needs that are covered today, do not affect the resources that future generations will use to cover their needs. On this path is ASESUISA, a company dedicated to caring for people through its insurance, and which has also placed as a pillar of its operation the care of the health of people and the planet.

Currently ASESUISA, aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to achieve this they have joined the Carbon Neutrality program offsetting residual emissions through the purchase of renewable energy carbon credits to become carbon neutral.

Carbon neutrality is achieved when carbon dioxide emissions emitted into the atmosphere are equivalent to zero due to emission reduction strategies and compensation of the residual carbon footprint.

At the moment, the company applies carbon neutral scopes 1 and 2, which have to do with CO2 emissions generated by the company's operations, including energy, fossil fuels, stationery and waste.

Also with the energy eco-efficiency program, lighting equipment and air conditioners are installed with technology that consumes less energy, in addition to renewing equipment for more efficient technologies.

Another front that is also addressed by the company is the management of solid waste internally, as well as raising awareness among employees to apply these practices at work and at home.

Mobility is a vital part of ASESUISA, and in order to reduce fuel consumption, the company has a plan to replace its vehicle fleet with more efficient models that have a lower impact on the environment.

But the vision of caring for the planet is not only limited to the inside of ASESUISA, as they have implemented environmental and social criteria and a governance focused on a procurement process to obtain products and/or services with less environmental impact and at the same time provide knowledge and tools to suppliers to mobilize them towards a transformation that contributes to sustainable development.

Strategic alliances are also key for ASESUISA to achieve its sustainability objectives.  Among its main allies are FUNDEMAS and Glasswing, among others, with whom it has carried out volunteer revitalization and reforestation activities in protected areas.

The company also promotes equality, diversity and inclusion in its value chain, with a special focus on its employees and suppliers.  In the future, they seek to strengthen and consolidate diversity and inclusion throughout the company's value chain, in addition to closing the gaps identified.

The company is currently on track to reach carbon neutral scope 3, which deals with emissions that the company does not control, such as the transportation in which its employees move, the services provided by its network of workshops and the way in which the supplies the company needs to operate arrive.

To face the challenges of the environment, they are committed to extend this purpose, not only in the insurance industry but also in other sectors, considering that sustainability is a commitment of all.
