This decree aims to obtain a good management of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country, in view of an alarming increase of cases.
The initiative is a special provision that seeks to suspend concentrations and agglomerations of people in public and private places and events, including patron saint celebrations and sports activities.
"This transitory decree has the provision of suspending for a period of 90 days, as from its entry into force, all concentration of people in public and private events, related to concerts, rallies and sporting events and celebrations of patron saint festivities", said the Health minister.
The minister said that the public or private events not prohibited by the transitory decree must comply with biosecurity measures, highlighting the mandatory use of masks. This mandate will be in force for 90 days and its objective is to avoid Covid-19 contagion.
"It is very important to remember that compliance with measures aimed at limiting person-to-person transmission. Delaying the arrival of other variants complies with the epidemiological measures taken by each of the countries", he commented.
The minister of Health said that the vaccination process against Covid-19 is advancing rapidly, however, this strategy must be accompanied by compliance with biosecurity measures, such as:
- Physical distancing avoiding agglomerations
- Use of masks
- Frequent hand washing
