In view of the approaching start of the school year, the president of the Defensoría del Consumidor, Ricardo Salazar, informed that the plan includes inspections and price surveys in bookstores and establishments offering school supplies, laptops and tablets.
The Defensoría Escolar 2022 will also verify the e-commerce of school supplies to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Law, as well as respect for the rights of consumers, Salazar emphasized.
The Defensoría del Consumidor has also made available to citizens a total of 68 days of information services, legal advice and complaint management, through 26 points of attention installed in the main shopping centers, parks, squares and some city halls of the country, among other places of greater concentration of population.
