Foreign Ministry calls for personnel to work temporarily in the United States in the areas of cooking, gardening, cleaning and construction

The Foreign Ministry, through its Labor Mobility Program, held today a selection process for human talent to work temporarily in the United States in the areas of cooking, tree trimming, hotel cleaning and heavy construction machinery.

For this new day, the applicants went to the headquarters of this State portfolio to undergo a previous process of interviews where the skills, competencies and advanced command of English were put in evidence, the latter is a prerequisite to work in the areas of cooking and cleaning in hotels.

Likewise, the applicants were able to learn first-hand about the Labor Mobility Program, an initiative supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which has placed more than 9,000 salvadorans in different companies in the United States.

In addition, it was explained to them that this program promotes orderly, safe and regular migration, allowing them to return to the country with their families and to their place of origin.

In the same context, the orientation and counseling programs for the beneficiaries once they return from working in the United States were explained, so that they can take advantage of the resources obtained during their work stay.

The support provided to families while the beneficiary is abroad was also expanded.
