Samsung Electronics announced a new partnership with CJ ENM, Asia's leading media and entertainment group behind the Oscar-winning film Parasites, to build a leading virtual production studio for the production of content for future videos.

By combining its cutting-edge Micro LED technology with CJ ENM's world-renowned film and TV series content creation, Samsung is taking the next step in a new initiative to innovate in the rapidly expanding virtual production market.

Through this partnership, Samsung will provide its state-of-the-art display technology, The Wall, to CJ ENM's virtual studio, which will be part of its film and television production studio complex slated to open in Paju, Korea, later this year.

The customized virtual production volume studio will be the first in the world to leverage The Wall's borderless LED technology, opening up new possibilities for production operations and virtual video content solution.

The main screen will be installed in an oval shape with a diameter of 20 meters and a height of seven meters or more, creating a seemingly infinite backdrop for content capture.

"We are very excited about this partnership. Samsung is launching this new initiative in the virtual production industry with a commitment to provide innovative products and solutions that provide the ideal environment for next-generation content production", said Jong-hee Han, President of Visual Displays Business at Samsung Electronics.

Also, the studio will have real-time setups: This virtual production studio will use LED displays and connected cameras to create real-time virtual setups. This solution will save time and reduce on-site image composition and production costs, while helping filmmakers see the camera on the live-action set in any direction.

The modular technology of The Wall TV allows creators to design environments according to their specific requirements, enabling a variety of installation options, such as ceiling mounting and convex or concave design, depending on the studio's interior project. The best screen for filmmaking.

Both companies expect this collaboration to enhance content production possibilities while satisfying a variety of customers by reinventing content production for today's fast-paced entertainment environment.
