Block an unknown number

Users who receive a message from an unknown number can block it, so that the blocked contacts will not be able to call the user or send messages. To do this, they will have to open the chat, if they do not have the contact saved they have to click on Block in the notification.

Report a contact

Another option available to victims is that they can report the contact. In that sense, they should go to chat information and scroll to the bottom of the screen. Then, click on report.

• Do not share the registration code or the two-step verification PIN with other people
• Enable two-step verification and provide an email address in case you forget your PIN
• Set a voicemail password that is difficult to guess to prevent others from accessing it
• Check linked devices on a daily basis. To do this go to WhatsApp, then go to Settings or Settings -Linked devices. To remove a linked device, tap on the device and then on Sign out.
• Users can control who can see the information they share on the app such as last connection time, statuses, photos and videos.
