Nutrition and wellness with cow's milk-based recipes

Cow's milk is an ally in our diet if we take into account that it is a natural source of calcium, an essential mineral to strengthen bones and prevent osteoporosis.

It also provides good quality protein, which is important for various functions of our body throughout life.

As time goes by, nutritional requirements increase and, sometimes, we lose the habit of consuming dairy foods. A good way to resume the consumption of this important food is to vary the way of preparing it, for example, including it in different dishes, desserts or milkshakes. The latter allow us to mix ingredients that are rich in fiber such as fruits or some cereal such as oatmeal. Among its advantages are:

4. They are a quick option for a more complete and balanced meal at any time of the day

Three easy and nutritious recipes prepared with IDEAL Evaporated Milk and LA LECHERA Condensed Milk, products made with 100% cow's milk:

Papaya Smoothie

Ingredients

(210 g.) 1 ½ Cup of papaya cut in cubes

(315 g.) 1 can of IDEAL Evaporated Milk

(240 ml.) 1 cup of water

(30 g.) 2 level tablespoons of brown sugar

10 ice cubes

Let's cook!

1. Blend all ingredients at maximum speed for 1 minute

2. Serve in glass or cup of choice

3. Enjoy instantly chilled

Mini banana pancakes

Ingredients

1 cup instant pancake premix

1/3 cup IDEAL Evaporated Milk

3 ripe bananas

3 tablespoons of butter

(100g.) 1 can of LA LECHERA Condensed Milk

Strawberries to taste

Let's cook!

Prepare the Pancakes premix with the IDEAL Evaporated Milk. Stir until smooth

lumps.

2. Slice bananas into slices approx ⅓" inch wide.

3. Place a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter

4. Dredge the banana slices in the pancake mixture and place on top of the skillet

5. Cook on both sides until golden brown

6. Serve with strawberries and LA LECHERA Condensed Milk and enjoy

Lemon pie popsicles

Ingredients

(50g.) 10 crushed Maria cookies

(25g.) 2 tablespoons butter, melted

(80g.) 1/3 cup lemon juice

(120g.) 1/2 cup of condensed milk LA LECHERA

(250g.) 1 cup of cream

Lemon zest for garnish

Let's cook!

1. Combine the ground Maria cookie with the butter. Place them in popsicle molds, press them to the bottom and freeze while you prepare the filling.

2. Combine the LA LECHERA condensed milk with the lemon juice until fully integrated.

3. Whip the cream when it is very cold until it whips. Add the condensed milk mixture and beat until blended.

4. To assemble: place the lemon pie ice cream in a piping bag. Remove the popsicles from the freezer, fill with a layer of the ice cream and cover with lemon zest. If necessary use a spatula to flatten.

5. Freeze for 8hrs, unmold and enjoy.
