As part of World Earth Day, Walmart Central America reaffirms its commitment to the environment through a robust strategy to position itself as a leader in the preservation and restoration of the planet.

Walmart through its “Sin Bolsas” program during 2023 stopped circulating 55 million plastic bags, the equivalent of 261 thousand kilograms of virgin plastic. In other words, it avoided the consumption of 4,260 barrels of oil. This is part of its sustainability project.
