The Banco Central de Reserva (BCR), informed that family remittances received by our country between january and april 2022 totaled US$2,444.1 million, registering a growth of 4.2% equivalent to US$99.4 million more than in the same period of the previous year.

Family remittances sent to El Salvador between january and march 2022 accumulated US$1,802.3 million, registering a growth of 5.9%, equivalent to an additional US$100.5 million compared to march 2021.

According to the Banco Central de Reserva (BCR), El Salvador received US$552.7 million in family remittances during january 2022, registering an increase of 7.4% compared to january 2021.

According to the Banco Central de Reserva (BCR), family remittances received in El Salvador from abroad accumulated US$4,901.2 million in the period from january to august 2021, showing a growth of 35.0% compared to the same period last year, equivalent to an additional US$1,271.2 million.

The economic analysis conducted by the Fundación Salvadoreña para el Desarrollo Económico y Social (FUSADES) announced that family remittances will reach a higher amount projected between US$7,166 and US$7,328 million, close to 28% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in its central trend.

The president of the Banco Central de Reserva (BCR), Douglas Rodríguez, informed during a television interview, the growth of family remittances received in the country, for the second quarter of the year.
