US$9,068.7 million 2024 Budget Bill delivered

The 2024 Budget Bill amounts to US$9,068.7 million and has as its main axes the Education, Health, Security and Defense branches, allocating US$3,694.1 million to these strategic pillars, which represents 40.7% of the total budget.

The Ministry of Finance, through minister Jerson Posada, delivers to the President of the Legislative Assembly, the Budget Bill and the Salary Law 2024, which guarantees the allocation of resources for the functioning of the government and the execution of strategic projects.

"The funding gap for the 2024 Budget amounts to US$338.6 million, that is, US$133.8 million less in relation to the gap we presented for 2023", said minister Posada.

The 2024 Budget Bill allocates:

  • US$1,566.9 million for education.
  • US$1,261.2 million for health
  • US$1,261.2 million for security
  • US$1,790.5 million for public investment
  • US$871.6 million for public works
