Integrated Stock Exchange between El Salvador and Panama recorded a year-on-year growth of 40.7% as of october 2021

The Superintendencia del Sistema Financiero (SSF), announced through its twitter account that the Integrated Stock Exchange between El Salvador and Panama reached as of october 2021, an inter-annual growth of 40.7% as of october 2021.

During the month of october 2020 the amount was US$198.6 million and in 2021 it rose to US$279.4 million achieving an inter-annual valuation of 40.7%.

The SSF indicates that this growth demonstrates the confidence and interest of investors in the markets of both countries.

Cooperative Banking and Savings and Loan Societies

As of September 2021, cooperative banks and savings and credit societies, recorded a year-on-year increase in loans and deposits demonstrating support for micro and small businesses for the economic development of the country.

Loans reached US$1,649.3 million with a year-on-year growth of US$147.07 million and deposits reached US$1,240.4 million with a year-on-year growth of US$114.23 million.

According to the SSF, as of september 2021, the savings accounts of cooperative banks and savings and credit societies, reflected a total of US$197.28 million, achieving an inter-annual growth of 18%.
