Amounts traded in the primary market of the stock exchange have grown 89.6%

The Superintendencia del Sistema Financiero (SSF), published in its twitter account that the amounts traded in the primary market of the Bolsa de Valores (BVES) has grown by 89.6%.

These securities have been issued and purchased by investors for the financing of companies and institutions through the BVES.

The amounts traded in the primary securities market went from US$374.5 million in september 2020 to US$709.9 million in September 2021, with a year-on-year variation of US$335.4 million.

Also the BVES integrated between El Salvador and Panama, reached a cumulative total that went to US$271.8 million in amounts traded as of september 2021, registering a year-on-year increase of 42.5%, demonstrating the interest of investors in the markets of both countries.

The SSF adds in the information that as of october 1 of this year, closed-end investment funds, have registered an increase with respect to 2020, of US$39.85 million in the amount that investors purchased through the Exchange, reflecting the interest in investing using this market mechanism.

Likewise, the Superintendency pointed out that every day more and more people are investing through investment funds. As of august 31, 2021, a total of 3,706 investors opted for this instrument, registering a year-on-year increase of 39.22% of participants, demonstrating the accessibility to invest.

And as of september 29, open-end investment funds registered a year-on-year increase of 80.12% in the contributions made by investors, allowing companies to finance the development of their businesses.
