The President of the Defensoría del Consumidor (DC), Ricardo Salazar, makes a tour in different gas stations in the western part of the country, to verify the temporary elimination of a percentage of taxes in the price of fuels.

With 81 votes, deputies approved to reduce part of the Value Added Tax (VAT) percentage that salvadorans pay for the purchase of fuel. The proposal was sent by the President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele, through the Minister of Finance, Alejandro Zelaya.

The President of the la Asociación Salvadoreña de Transportistas Internacionales (ASTIC), Raúl Alfaro, said in a morning interview that despite the sharp rise in fuel prices, the institution maintains the cost of its freight.
