"We have typified an important amount of corn, both white and yellow, essential products for the table of salvadorans", detailed Salazar. He said that these measures have a direct impact on the cost of living and this is reflected in indicators such as inflation, which in El Salvador is around 6%, one of the lowest rates in Central America.

The head of the Defensoría del Consumidor added that through these controls are contributing to the stabilization of prices and access to basic necessities for the entire population.

The head of marketing of Inversiones Servygran, S.A. de C.V., José Antonio Torres, expressed that as a private company they feel supported by the measures implemented by the Government in favor of salvadorans.

"The Government is taking actions that are benefiting the entire population, that is the benefit that we perceive directly, and to be able to give a fair price to the final consumer", he said.

Also, the president of the Defensoría del Consumidor urged the population to report any irregularity with prices through 910 or WhatsApp 7844-1482.
