Regular gasoline price will be US$3.90 per gallon from january 01 to 09

The Ministerio de Economía (MINEC) informs that from january 1 to january 9, 2023, fuel prices will remain in effect without the subsidy granted by the Central Government as part of the 11 economic measures.

Salvadorans who buy superior gasoline in the central zone per gallon is at a value of US$3.89, regular gasoline at US$3.86 and diesel at US$4.30.

As for the western zone, people can go to the gas station of their choice and purchase fuel at US$3.90 per gallon, regular US$3.87 and diesel US$4.31.

For those who fill their vehicle's tank in the eastern zone, they will be able to find this fuel at US$3.94 per gallon, regular US$3.90 and diesel US$4.34.

According to international media Bloomberg Energy, with the market closed for the New Year's holiday, the price of the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) barrel registered an increase of US$1.86 dollars or 2.37%, trading at US$80.26. The Brent crude oil rose 2.94% or US$2.45 dollars, trading at US$85.91.
