Yesterday El Salvador was allotted US$134 million in CETES

The Asociación Salvadoreña de Intermediarios Bursátiles (ASIB), informed through its Twitter account that yesterday the Central Government held an auction of 360-day Certificados de la Tesorería de la Federación (CETES), awarding US$134 million.

In addition, the Ministry of Finance approached the local market to carry out the auction of Treasury Certificates and was able to award US$134 million, paying a yield of 7.50% per annum.

The Ministry of Finance is constantly making new placements to pay the monthly maturities of CETES that are used to cover deficiencies in the country's fiscal coffers.

Investors interested in participating in the auction to acquire the Treasury Certificates may do so through the Brokerage Firms of El Salvador or directly, after qualification by the Ministry of Finance.

The ASIB, indicates through its social networks that salvadorans can consult with the Brokerage Houses, the information related to the dates of placement, characteristics and everything concerning the negotiations of CETES or LETES.
