El Salvador inaugurates embassy in Saudi Arabia to increase development and innovation in the country

As part of the country's positioning in the world, the Chancellor of the Republic, Alexandra Hill, inaugurated the Embassy of El Salvador in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

 

In the event, which took place in Riyadh, capital of this country, Minister Hill said that this action reflects the commitment of our government to "move towards a closer bilateral relationship, solidarity and equity, between both nations".

These actions are intended to advance the bilateral agenda with Saudi Arabia, always "under the common interest of supporting the development of our peoples through innovation and joint collaboration".

"We are very grateful for the way we have been received in these lands full of tradition and culture", said the head of the salvadoran diplomacy. In addition, she reiterated that El Salvador is now recognized for being one of the safest nations in the continent, a projection that allows us to expand the relationship and cooperation, always in favor of our people.

"It was not an easy issue because before we had a totally negative image. But we began a process of transformation, which has changed the country's vision before the international community, through an effective foreign policy, committed, focused on serving the diaspora, establishing, and deepening alliances with friendly nations”, he said.

Therefore, he highlighted the work and alliance with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a partner that has shown us support through various initiatives. "Our country maintains the interest to work with those who work with us, to cooperate with those who cooperate with us, but we highly value respect for our independence and that of our people”, he said.

He expressed his gratitude to Saudi Arabia since "it has been a fundamental partner that has supported the implementation of initiatives in areas such as governance, social welfare, health, education and economic reactivation".

He also remarked that with this nation they continue to identify more collaboration initiatives that lead to national development. "The formal opening of the Diplomatic and Consular Representation of the Republic of El Salvador in Riyadh, means another step in this positioning and deepening of alliances, strengthening the salvadoran and central american presence in the heart of the Middle East, reiterating our interest in strengthening diplomatic, cultural, business and cooperation relations with the Arab peoples", he said.

In her speech, Chancellor Hill also highlighted El Salvador's transformations, which are evident in the security and social areas, and which are also internationally recognized. Likewise, she affirmed that "Saudi Arabia and El Salvador share in their vision of government a structure of values and principles that distinguishes us in our respective regions".
