The Banco Central de Reserva presented data on how the country's 19 economic activities grew in the third quarter of 2023, where the construction, electricity and professional services sectors were the most productive in the country.

The professional services sector reported a growth of 12.7% and this is due to the increase in the provision of architectural and engineering services, in addition to the increase in demand associated with the preparation of events in the country.

The sector of electricity grew by 11%, thanks to the boost in investments in renewable energies and investment in distribution networks. Construction grew by 10.6%, due to the increase in private investment in infrastructure in recent months, while the government contributed to the growth of this sector due to the preparations for Miss Universe and the remodeling of the historic center.

The other productive sectors of the country that have seen growth in the third quarter of 2023 were: leisure services with 7.8%, hotels and restaurants with 6.7%, financial with 6.7%, personal services with 5.2%, transportation with 4.7%, government services with 4.5% and communications with 4.4%.
