Movistar El Salvador, a leading telecommunications company, promotes sustainability with its university tour under the electronics recycling program "Cambiá a Verde".

The initiative, which took place from august to october of this year through specialized talks and recycling days, had as its main objective to raise awareness among young university students about the importance of sustainability and the correct disposal of unused electronics.

In addition to the lectures, recycling days were held in collaboration with the participating universities, where students and staff had the opportunity to recycle their obsolete or unused electronic devices for proper handling.

A highlight of the tour was the collaboration with the ECMH in organizing a photography contest with an anthropological focus. The purpose of the contest was to raise awareness of sustainability and electronics recycling through the artistic and creative perspective of the students of the renowned institution.

In addition, as part of this tour, a forum will be held at the UCA on the challenges of electronics recycling in El Salvador. The event will take place in mid-October and will include the participation of DELSUR, AmCham, Zartex, FUNDEMAS, Ternova, Banco Atlántida, the Centro Nacional de Producción más Limpia (CNPML) and the technology manufacturer Logic, who are allies of the recycling program Cambiá a Verde. This forum will provide a space for the exchange of ideas and solutions regarding the current challenges in electronics recycling in the country.
