Nestlé Purina donated food for more than 7 thousand dogs and cats in shelters in the country

Aiming to develop the entire power supply power to improve the quality of life of communities where communities operate, Nestlé El Salvador, through its brand Purina, made the donation of food for more than 7 thousand dogs and cats resguardados in different shelters of our country.

 

 

The donation was made effective through the Instituto de Bienestar Animal (IBA), dependence of the Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería (MAG), who will be in charge of the distribution of the gift consisting of more than 12 tons of Purina food for dogs and cats.

This contribution of food will be delivered to 7 municipal shelters; 48 independent shelters and 67 independent rescues, who together house 5,209 dogs and 2,364 cats.

"At Nestlé, we believe that pets are members of our families. Through actions like these, with Nestlé Purina we seek to transcend with our support arm towards the population of pets that are in vulnerable situations. This work seeks to make our society a better place for everyone", said Rodrigo Romera, general manager of Nestlé El Salvador.

"We are making this alliance with Nestlé where we receive tons of food to help many puppies and kittens in El Salvador. The help will begin to reach where they need it most", said Guillermo Hasbun, Ad Honorem President of the Instituto de Bienestar Animal (IBA).

The delivery of this gift of food is realized in the framework of the holding of the World Day of the Perro, which is commemorated every july 21.

This initiative evidences Nestlé Purina's ongoing commitment to society and the welfare of pets, highlighting its focus on quality and positive impact on the lives of animals and people.
