Written by Evelyn Alas

PAILL is a 100% salvadoran company with more than 30 years dedicated to the manufacture of pharmaceutical products, who reinforce their commitment to salvadoran children, under its Corporate Social Responsibility program called: “Así Construimos el Mañana”.

One of the pillars of this program is "education", through which, they execute different actions with the objective of supporting the academic development of salvadoran children and youth, as well as promoting excellence.

From 2017 to date, PAILL has granted a total of 279 scholarships, investing approximately $80 thousand in the Edubecas program of the Fundación Empresarial para el Desarrollo Educativo (FEPADE), who are the administrators of the program and a very important ally for PAILL, as to the private company in education issues. Through this program they support the academic education of the children of PAILL employees.

"Education is everyone's commitment, and we count on entrepreneurs who seek to make our country a better El Salvador through education", shares the executive director of FEPADE, Ana de Bardi.

The scholarship consists of providing financial support, which is intended to facilitate the study conditions of the scholarship recipients participating in the program. The objective of this support is to stimulate academic excellence, commitment and discipline of each student.

PAILL also works with these children and young people in a comprehensive manner, providing them with life skills tools through talks on mental health.

"As an organization we recognize that education is a fundamental pillar and the way to build a better future. Every year we commit to each of the scholarship recipients, in order to provide them with the fundamental tools so that they can develop different life skills, as professionals. We are committed to continue working with different programs, which will provide a better education for salvadoran children", said PAILL's executive director, Rafael Cardenas.

The support is aimed at children of PAILL employees, who in addition to having a good academic performance, have excellent conduct and above all, have a great desire to excel.

"We firmly believe that children and young people are the key to society. More than 68 children of employees benefit from our corporate social responsibility program "Así Construimos el Mañana", of which we are even prouder this year, since we are awarding scholarships for the first generation to take a step towards university and we have graduated two generations of high school graduates thanks to the contribution we as a company have made for the last seven years, when the program began. We thank FEPADE for its support and for being a strategic ally for PAILL", said the corporate affairs manager, Crissia Montoya.
