Women are increasingly taking on leadership roles in the industry and are having a positive impact on the direction and success of the companies they lead. These women serve as role models and inspiration for others looking to do the same.

One of the salvadoran women who has broken the glass ceiling is Carmen Martinez, Managing Director of RSM US-El Salvador (RSM USE). She is one of the first women to lead a major technology company in the country and has set a standard for professional salvadorans in the region to make their talent visible with large companies around the world from her own country.

RSM-USE provides services exclusively to RSM US LLP and its clients worldwide. Serving clients mainly in the "middle market" of the U.S., which are companies that generate approximately $100 million to $1,000 million in revenue.

Carmen has also been a strong advocate for women in technology and has worked to increase the representation of women in the industry through her organization. This is important because it helps ensure that the industry is inclusive and equitable and that everyone could succeed.

"The diversity of perspectives and experiences that women bring enriches decision-making in the creation of technology products and services. In addition, the presence of women in leadership positions in the sector serves as a role model for young women seeking to develop their careers in this field, which in turn fosters gender equity in the labor market and in society in general", commented, Carmen Martinez, Managing Director of RSM USE.

Under Carmen's leadership, RSM USE has created an innovative business model that focuses on offering highly qualified talent for technology-focused consulting services, operating as "just another office" of RSM US LLP and not as a traditional "offshore", eliminating geographic barriers and stereotypes, raising the visibility of quality talent in our region.

The company provides professional services mainly focused on technology: design, development, testing, customization and support of business applications (ERPs, CRMs, Custom Applications, eCommerce, Integrations) and industry-specific software products, data analytics (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx), managed technology services (IT Service Desk, infrastructure, networks), cybersecurity services, systems quality assurance services, automation services, and financial and accounting outsourcing services.

"To remain successful in the ever-changing technology industry and accelerated globalization, we must be current, innovative and constantly moving forward", said Martinez. As one of the first female leaders of a company at this level in the country, the pressure is inevitable. When you have confidence, you can do it, gender bias is just an idea" she emphasized.

RSM USE has obtained important recognitions for the quality and excellence of its services: being recognized as the best employer for young professionals in technology in the region (Employees for youth) and within the top 3 as the best employer for young professional women in Central America, both in 2023.

In addition, Carmen Martinez was recognized as a Global Leader in Consulting in "Excellence in Innovation" by Consulting Magazine in 2023 thanks to her innovative trajectory as an entrepreneur.
