Written by Evelyn Alas

With the support of the IDB Group Innovation Lab, IDB Lab, Fundación Gloria Kriete, Kodigo, creative technology academy, Impact Hub and SayHello, the "GEEK SHOW" was announced, a space where many visionary minds will come together to provide innovative solutions for the country, companies and the business ecosystem through the creation of technology-based solutions in record time.

The best solutions contributed by young talents will have access to the Premio Dinámica, a Latin American incubation program known as Impacto Latam, and the top 10 will be presented at the investment events known as R2P (READY TO PITCH) in El Salvador.

"The Geek Show seeks not only to value the skills of young people, but also to make visible the enormous talent of the Salvadoran youth in the technology sector, since, thanks to ventures such as Kodigo, young people can prepare themselves on their path of education and training towards the world of work", said Ricardo Chavez, executive director of Kodigo.

Initiatives such as this one facilitate the development of skills and tools so that young people have greater employability opportunities in their immediate future and become innovative leaders.

The representative and co-founder of Impact Hub San Salvador, José Rodríguez, says that "The development of an innovative ecosystem must come from multiple actors working together to make a great impact. This is the first initiative that manages to connect with several organizations that, beyond an event, seek to support the concrete development of investment and growth opportunities for entrepreneurs".

"In turn, large companies such as Banco Agrícola committed to contributing to sustainable development for the well-being of all, are proud to participate in this space for learning and teamwork in which innovation, leadership, creativity and resilience skills are combined to anticipate changes and adapt to design the future together. This is why the bank is inviting the young participants in the Geek Show to develop a solution that allows companies and entrepreneurs in the country to build customer loyalty through digital gift card solutions", Jessica Ponce, Innovation and Ecosystems manager, commented.

"At SayHello we believe that great companies are born from ecosystems that support ideas and bet on the growth of young people", says Inés Ramírez, head of content of the digital transformation agency SayHello, who, together with Impact Hub, works to develop innovation ecosystems and greater opportunities for digital transformation in El Salvador.

Technology is the transforming element with the greatest impact on the global economy; an important source of employment generation. For that reason, it is important to promote meetings like this one that promote the talent of young salvadorans.
